Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2019! and Communication Task #13
Many legends surround St. Patrick the patron saint of Ireland. One of them is his association with the leprechauns. Do you know what or who they are?
I revised and updated the evaluation plan for the 4th trimester, check out the page where it’s posted.
Here is some content that I want you to begin reading for tomorrow. I will print out the copies. This is Communication Task #13 related to “Prometheus and the First People.” Also remember to bring your grammar workbooks.
Enjoy the green day! ~~LMM
About the Midsummer Night’s Dream Lego Project
Hope you had fun with this project and it helped you understand the play by recreating a scene. I was pleasantly surprised by your creativity and imagination. Someone asked it we were doing this the next trimester. Which gives me an idea for the part related to mythology. I’m seriously considering it! ~~LMMolina

A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Dramatis Personae
Shakespeare’s comedy presents an entertaining group of characters. For the mini-cosplay you’ll have to select one from this play. In the comment section of this post please write the name of the character and the part from the play you will cosplay. The play itself is on the Reading List of the platform Beyond the Legends (Link-10th-grade-site). Obviously, you will have to read the play in order to decide which character you want to portray for the mini-cosplay. You may select either version of the play (old or modern English).
The idea behind the Fantasy Cosplay for the 18th of January is to present a preview of this year’s English Literature Night: “Steps through Fantasy.” We will be discussing the play during the second half of the trimester. The first half will focus on elements of the short story and selected readings. I hope you will find both areas (theater and short story elements) instructive and entertaining! ~~LMMolina

Week of March 12-16
Students,
Keep in mind that there are only two days (B) this week due to Friday’s parent-teacher conferences. Third trimester report cards will also be handed out that day. Are you expecting good tidings? Hope so.
Tomorrow we’ll be working with grammar (so bring your books) and discussing the topic of Oral Tradition. I’ve added a related file to the unit. Go to Beyond-the-legends-10th-advanced/oral-tradition. Title: “Elements of the Oral Tradition for 10th Grade.” Note: You don’t have to print it out.
We’ll also have the first quiz of the trimester this week.
By the way, I should have received all the introductions to your original short story. This was work for the THIRD trimester. Scores have been posted in Grades Garden.
See you in class! ~~LMMolina
